Opportunity Description
What you will do
Develop a maintenance plan for the core web-based systems and oversee the ongoing technical work needed to implement this plan. Writing testable, maintainable PHP code which ties together products, micro services, AWS services, and SaaS/PaaS technologies to expand existing projects and new projects
Improving the performance and reliability of PHP code to allow products to scale in line with organisational demand
Responsible for continuous improvement of policies, procedures and processes relating to online technologies.
Provision of high level organisational and administrative leadership including review and evaluation of technology, team capability and/or services.Build a pipeline of potential opportunities
Responsible for advising and mentoring other web developers within the online technical development stream.
Required experience and qualifications
The chosen candidate must have:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in object-oriented design and programming
Strong experience with Laravel and VueJS/ReactJS is essential.
Ability to optimize/write optimized database queries on large datasets
Knowledge of REST and API methodologies
Ability to use version control systems and do so religiously
Understanding of Agile practices and principles
Strong TDD/unit-testing/test automation
