As a Tier 1 Support Agent, you will serve as the first point of contact for patient inquiries and concerns. You’ll be responsible for providing world-class assistance via calls and emails, while also contributing to the development and improvement of support processes. This role offers the opportunity to help build a scalable support function that drives sustainable growth.
Requirements
Strong ability to listen, understand, and respond appropriately to patient concerns.
Quick problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues efficiently.
Experience in healthcare and/or customer service.
Ability to deliver exceptional service and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Positive, empathetic, and solution-driven communication style.
Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data protection.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally.
Make outbound calls and return missed calls when needed.
Follow all SLAs within set timeframes, keeping patients informed if delays occur.
Provide clear, empathetic, and respectful communication in every interaction.
Accurately document and retrieve patient information using Electronic Health Records.
Escalate issues that cannot be resolved at first contact (non-FCR) to the appropriate department or team lead immediately.
