Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins, and be comfortable creating custom solutions to meet our business needs. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to build responsive, high-performance websites and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop responsive WordPress websites from scratch or by customizing existing themes and plugins.

Create custom WordPress themes and plugins as needed.

Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing WordPress websites.

Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.

Integrate third-party APIs and tools into WordPress sites.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs into functional websites.

Conduct website testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance across all major browsers and devices.

Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.

Experience with custom theme and plugin development.

Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.

Knowledge of website security best practices.

Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and performance tools like GTmetrix.

Experience with version control (e.g., Git) is a plus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based eCommerce platforms.

Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS, and website migration.

Knowledge of other CMSs or frameworks is a bonus (e.g., Shopify, Laravel).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
